This might be my new favorite Fontana picture, at least of the standing/stacked variety. She walked into this totally naturally, which makes it even better. I absolutely love that her tight, shorter coat shows off her gorgeous shape and form. She is an absolutely incredible athlete, and her entire build just says she was made to hunt and work. She reminds me slightly of one of my favorite historical cream colored coursing Salukis. She is sleek and fit and fast, with just enough feathering to be glamorous. Yet, she has plenty of bone, muscle, and power, with the warm, sweet expression and the dense water repellent coat that make her a Golden Retriever. Biddable, beautiful, moderate, athletic, and willing, and not a damn thing that she would need an excessive coat to hide: that is our Fontana. She continues to blossom mentally and physically, and we couldn’t be more excited to do the things with her, as well as breed her next winter.
